Aklan College High School Batch 1983 Silver Jubilee Alumni Homecoming

Above is the official t-shirt logo for the 2008 Silver Jubilee Alumni Homecoming of the Aklan College High School Class 1983. Designed by event Chair Ernesto Torre Anino. Printed on shirts by batchmate Ferdinand "Folog/Bong" Flogio. Approved by the standing committee members.

What can you say about it? For me it is simply beautiful and symbolic. It embodies the general aspiration of the batch--silver and glowing! (that could mean to include some silvery hair!)

The Choir stands by. Mrs. Melissa NiƱonuevo-Manulat led the high school choir in providing beautiful music during the thanksgiving mass. At her right is her daughter.

Liturgy of the Word. Batchmate reads the First Reading. Early birds earnestly listen.
But you know what? Batchmates in the benches were whispering, asking the question: "Who is that batchmate reading?" Simply because, after 25 years, it is kind of hard to recognize our batchmates anymore.

Sermon on the Hall. The Father Rector of the former Aklan College (A Catholic Institution), now the Aklan Catholic College, Rev. Fr. Joebert Villasis shares his homily. "What has happened to your faith after 25 years?" he boldly asks.

"Have you changed for the better?" he continued.

Fr. Joebert called for inner transformation. A faith that seeks God and transforms from words into action. A faith that shares and blesses others.

Presentation of the gifts.
Batchmates, some of them with their children,
offer/share their blessings.

"Peace I give to you!" Rev. Fr. Corcino takes the rounds to greet everyone. We were amazed that he knew each one by our first name! Then we realized we had our name tags, he, he.
